Employment agency Manpower is looking for an operator for a company in Horst.

As an operator, you are responsible for ensuring the advanced production and packaging lines run smoothly without any disruptions. You will lead a team of production employees and ensure that hygiene and occupational safety regulations are always adhered to. Collaboration with team leaders, QC employees, and the technical service department is essential.

Together with your team, you will be responsible for executing the packaging schedule. You will follow the work preparation closely and keep a sharp eye on the process. You will set up the machines, adjust the lines, monitor the packaging process, and guarantee the quality of the final product. Furthermore, you ensure that every package is perfect.

Additionally, you will collect and record important data for process monitoring and contribute to the maintenance of the machinery. You will ensure a constant supply of packaging film and labels and remain alert to any malfunctions. Thanks to your quick responses, production downtime will be avoided. Some of your tasks include:
  • Efficiently executing production orders
  • Setting up and checking equipment, in consultation with the QC department
  • Operationally motivating and guiding your team
  • Reporting deviations in planning, quality, and technical matters

Our client is a young and growing family business, active in sorting, packaging, and trading blueberries and asparagus. They source their products from their own cultivation as well as from growers in various countries in Europe, Africa, and South America.

Working hours
In this full-time position, you will work in two shifts.

Requirements

  • At least an MBO (secondary vocational education) work and thinking level
  • Willing to work in alternating shifts, including one Saturday every two weeks
  • Availability of 38 hours per week
  • Good command of the Dutch and English languages, both written and spoken, due to communication with colleagues and customers. Knowledge of the Polish language is a plus
  • Affinity with a production environment and technical insight
