Employment agency Manpower is looking for a junior operator for PostNL in Zwolle.

As a junior operator, you are crucial to the logistics process and act as the first point of contact for the team coach. You are responsible for both the process and the product you deliver. Your main task is to ensure that all mail is processed correctly and on time. Your duties include operating and maintaining the HSM (afternoon/evening) and coaching a team of operators (night).

In your role, you quickly recognize, analyze and resolve common malfunctions. Below is an overview of your tasks:

• Signaling disruptions in mail processing, identifying the cause and resolving simple technical malfunctions.
• Providing instructions to output operators to prevent and quickly resolve malfunctions.
• Having thorough knowledge of the machines and their components, understanding their operation and performing basic maintenance. In the event of more complex malfunctions, you call in the technical service.
• Providing daily and weekly maintenance to the machines or ensuring that this is carried out correctly.
• Creating a work division for employees during a shift and giving instructions to (new) employees about their work.
• Guiding new employees in entering mail items.
• Providing input to the team coach for operational decisions during the process.
• Ensuring a safe working environment

Working hours
You work in shifts. The working hours can differ per day and week.

• Able to work and think at a mbo level, with technical affinity 
• Previously worked at PostNL or in a similar role
• Availability of 28 to 30 hours per week 
• Able to apply for a Code of Good Conduct (Verklaring Omtrent Gedrag or VOG) at your local municipality 
• Good command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written, in connection with the safety instructions and for communication purposes
• In possession of own transportation
• Experience with machines
