Manpower is looking for a Maintenance Technician for Dow in Hoek.

Responsibilities:

• Checking job packages and providing feedback to planners when discrepancies arise
• Solving technical issues and assessing your own competencies
• Ensuring compliance with critical procedures and protocols
• Coordinating with work planners on task execution
• Requesting necessary permits
• Checking the availability and condition of machines and tools
• Performing tasks according to procedures and checklists
• Adjusting tasks in consultation with supervisors or work planners
• Conducting thorough investigations for issues requiring new work orders
• Communicating with clients about delays in completion
• Performing quality control and documenting completed work
• Ensuring the job’s intended goal is met and completing documentation

Specific tasks for Do Maintenance Technologist E&I include troubleshooting and repairing control and measurement equipment. For Do Maintenance Technologist Mechanical, tasks involve repairing rotating equipment such as pumps and turbines. The Do Maintenance Sr. Technologist provides technical support, advises management, and makes decisions in complex repair issues.

Working hours 
In this full-time role, you will work during day shifts.

• Minimum Level 3 diploma with three years of relevant experience in a maintenance environment
• Knowledge of GMWP C-MMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), relevant procedures, Unit Rate work processes, VWV Electronic Diary, EMETL RCA processes, and written reporting
• Experience in performing maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting and independently repairing control and measurement equipment or rotating equipment.
• Ability to make independent decisions with minimal support from colleagues
• Good communication skills and the ability to lead others both socially and technically
