Manpower is looking for an Engineering and Maintenance Manager for a company in Scheemda.

As an Engineering and Maintenance Manager you will perform the following working activities: 

• Lead the plant's maintenance function to ensure optimal equipment reliability and uptime.
• Develop and oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs, utilizing data-driven approaches (e.g., CMMS).
• Provide engineering leadership to improve plant infrastructure, processes, and systems, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Manage site capital investment projects, from planning and budgeting to execution, in alignment with business needs and safety standards.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and safety teams to align engineering and maintenance support with operational requirements.
• Lead, coach, and mentor a team of maintenance technicians and engineers, fostering accountability and continuous development.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations in all engineering and maintenance activities.
• Drive energy efficiency and environmental sustainability initiatives in collaboration with the Safety, Health, and Environmental teams.

Our client is an international leader in the production of hair care products, laundry detergents, fabric softeners, adhesives, sealants, and functional coatings. Working hours
The working hours in this full-time position are flexible between 08:00 and 17:00.

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field  
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
• In-depth knowledge of maintenance practices, including preventive and predictive maintenance, root cause analysis, and CMMS systems
• Experience in managing capital projects, budgeting, and project execution
• Familiarity with digitalization and Industry 4.0 technologies in maintenance and manufacturing
• Strong understanding of safety, health, and environmental regulations
• Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams
• Experience in continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, TPM) is highly desirable 
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally and with global/regional teams
• Good control of the Dutch and English language, due to work activities
