Employment agency Manpower is looking for Design Appraisal Pipeline Specialist for a company in Rotterdam.

As Design Appraisal Pipeline Specialist you will perform the following working activities: 
  • Utilize thorough knowledge of the design of underground piping systems to pragmatically support customers in the design and construction of these piping systems
  • Carry out assessments of underground piping systems for internal pressure and piping flexibility in accordance with NEN3650/3651
  • Use common software packages such as PLE4win, Caesar II, and Matcad for these assessments
  • Draw on experience to score assets against relevant standards, approving and assessing installations, parts of installations, repairs, and/or products whether new or in service
  • Contribute day-to-day specialist knowledge and assess complex problems - finding a range of alternative solutions
  • Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, accreditation schemes, NL legislation, and industry standards

Requirements

  • Degree of Bachelor or Master in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum of five years of experience in the industry related to pressure equipment
  • Availability of 40 hours per week 
  • Ability to carry out technical assessments under close supervision against defined specifications
  • Driving license required for flexibility to visit and work at clients if needed
  • Experience in performing independent software calculations
  • Knowledge of PLE and/or CAESAR II software or calculations
  • Fluent in Dutch and English because of job duties
