Manpower is looking for a Production Technician for a company in Hengelo.

As a UAV Mechanical or Electronic Manufacturing Technician, you will play a key role in producing, maintaining, and ensuring the quality of UAV systems. Your tasks include fabricating components from materials such as sheet metal, composites, and electronic parts, as well as assembling and integrating mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems. You will follow engineering drawings and quality guidelines to autonomously check and ensure components meet specifications.

Identifying and fixing defects, conducting system tests, and troubleshooting are essential parts of the job. You will also document processes, repairs, and modifications. Additionally, you will look for opportunities to improve efficiency in manufacturing processes and work closely with engineers and other team members to optimize production. Compliance with industry regulations and safety protocols is critical in all stages of the manufacturing process.

This role requires hands-on technical skills, attention to detail, and a focus on continuous improvement to ensure UAV performance and reliability.

Working hours
The working hours in this position are from Monday to Friday during regular office hours.

Requirements

  • Education and professional training in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Metalwork Technology, Mechatronics, or related fields
  • High school diploma or equivalent with proven relevant experience or certification may suffice for some positions
  • At least two years of proven experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in the aerospace or unmanned systems industry and/or aircraft maintenance (LMA A or B), repair, and overhaul
  • Understanding of quality control systems
  • Familiarity with UAV platforms, components, and subsystems
  • Knowledge of flight control systems, avionics, navigation systems, communication systems, and payload integration
  • Understanding of health & safety standards, environmental regulations, regulatory compliance, and ethical considerations related to aerial military vehicles
  • Proficiency in English; Dutch language skills are highly valued
  • Availability of 40 hours per week
