Are you a motivated and detail-oriented professional with a passion for customer service and finance? Dow is looking for a Receivable Specialist to join their dynamic team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with customers while ensuring timely payments and managing accounts receivable. If you're fluent in French (B2/C1 level) and looking for a full-time opportunity in an international environment, this role is for you!

As a Receivable Specialist, you will be an essential part of Dow's Invoice to Cash organization, driving cash flow objectives and ensuring customer satisfaction. Your daily tasks will include:

  • Acting as the primary point of contact for customer accounts receivable (A/R)
  • Leading collection activities for near-due and past-due accounts
  • Influencing customer payment behaviors to improve cash flow
  • Maintaining in-depth knowledge of customer accounts
  • Actively participating in account teams and leading A/R improvement projects
  • Managing account reconciliation, handling offsets, sales adjustments, and resolving discrepancies
  • Processing returns and resolving credit blocks
  • Collaborating with internal teams (CFS, business partners, I2C teams) and escalating issues when necessary
  • Adhering to compliance requirements, including SOX, and meeting Operational Level Agreements (OLAs)
  • Additional duties include updating tax certificates, reviewing web portals, retrieving documents, and updating customer contact information

Working hours
The working hours in this full-time position of 40 hours per week are during regular office hours.

Job Requirements

  • MBO level of working and thinking, ideally in Finance or Business Administration
  • Fluent in French (minimum B2/C1 level) and English, as communication with customers will be in these languages
  • Availability to work 40 hours per week
  • A valid Dutch work permit for at least nine months or EU nationality
  • Able to obtain a Certificate of Conduct (Verklaring Omtrent Gedrag or VOG)
