Employment agency Manpower is looking for a Payroll Administrator Germany for Dow in Terneuzen.
As a Payroll Administrator, your core mission is to ensure accurate, timely payroll for employees in accordance with local tax regulations, labor agreements, and internal policies. In this role, you will coordinate and carry out essential administrative and control tasks for the Payroll team. With a strong process-driven approach and attention to detail, you manage your responsibilities flexibly and efficiently. Your interactions with both local and international partners position you as a trusted advisor, guiding on payroll matters with clarity and expertise.

The Payroll Administrator Germany is part of the Payroll/T&A team in the EMEAI HR Solutions organization, located in Terneuzen, the Netherlands.
The HR Solutions organization is responsible for the design and delivery of innovative solutions to all employees and leaders. HR Solutions roles contain deep subject-matter expertise in order to consult on programs, processes and people. The top priority of HR Solutions is to deliver the best Employee Experience. The team will consist out of 5 persons (1 manager, 2 specialists and 2 representatives). This is a long term assignment.

- Delivering Payroll, Time & Absence, and Data Management in a productive and efficient manner
- Processing information with confidentiality and with a high level of accuracy
- Interchange salary input and output data with the payroll provider and perform calculations and validation activities to ensure the processing of accurate data.
- Prepare and execute accurate and timely (manual) payments to employees, to local authorities and to the payroll provider

Working hours
This full-time position typically follows standard office hours, with a preference for a 40-hour workweek, though a 36-hour schedule is also possible. Working fewer than 36 hours is not an option. While remote work is available most of the time, attendance at certain in-person meetings is required.
Requirements
- Bacheloror mbo 4 level of thinking and working preferably in HR, Finance or related area.
- An excellent command of the English and German language (at least level C1/ C2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages)
- Preferably you also have 2 years of payroll experience or an affinity with numbers and an understanding of seeing connections
- Availability of 40 hours per week
- A Dutch work permit that is valid for at least nine months or an EU-nationality
- A certificate of conduct (Verklaring Omtrent Gedrag or VOG) that shows you have not committed any criminal offences
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Workday, ServiceNow, MS Office & SAP.
- Proficiency in any other European language is an asset.
- Understand organizational interdependencies and experience working across functions and cultures.
- Experience in high volume operational environments is required.
- Experience in internal controls through prior audit participation is preferred.
- Good problem solving, critical thinking skills and managing competing priorities.
