Manpower is looking for an Operations Team Leader for a company in Rotterdam.

In this role, you assist in developing and executing long- and short-term business plans, budgets, and targets, incorporating strategic goals and market dynamics to bolster the competitive edge and efficiency of the company. You work to achieve financial and business targets, enhancing the company’s commercial success through strong market knowledge and result-focused efforts. Ensuring effective systems, processes, and procedures to meet business needs for both internal and external clients is crucial. You lead and develop the team, overseeing recruitment, training, and performance management to create a high-performance culture. Driving employee engagement is essential to align staff with business and strategic goals. You manage resource planning, including budgeting, prioritization, delegation, and monitoring of team activities while addressing commercial and contractual needs. Promoting safety, quality, and business improvements involves maintaining coordinated and effective systems and processes. Collaborating with heads of functions like Marketing, Sales, Technical, Training, and Finance is key to resolving cross-functional issues. Regular health and safety risk assessments, controls, and clear communication help minimize employee risks. Ensuring compliance with health and safety rules and providing training and resources are part of your duties, along with monitoring performance and implementing improvement actions as needed.

  • Relevant bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Business or equivalent
  • Sufficient relevant work experience demonstrating comprehensive understanding of specialist requirements, knowledge, and application
  • Experience in supervising and mentoring a team, directly or in a project management role 
  • Availability of 40 hours per week 
  • Proven ability to handle difficult conversations with employees and clients
  • Ability to work in accordance with professional codes of conduct and LRQA code of ethics
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including communication and reporting in Dutch and English at all levels
  • Competent presentation skills, ability to work under pressure, set priorities, strong analytical skills, and a business sense
