Manpower is recruiting a Turnaround Materials Coordinator for Dow in Terneuzen.
As a Turnaround Materials Coordinator, you are the central contact for managing the sourcing, planning, and distribution of materials and supplies. You balance turnaround requirements with procurement strategies and ensure that materials are processed and delivered to meet operational needs.
Main Responsibilities:
- Handle purchase requests for materials specified in Plant Maintenance (PM) orders.
- Obtain quotes and select suppliers using the Acceptable Manufacturer/Supplier List (AM/SL).
- Monitor and update purchase order and delivery statuses, sharing updates with TA Planners and Coordinators.
- Confirm material availability and update order statuses in the system.
- Communicate specification changes between suppliers and planners.
- Ensure materials with long lead times arrive on time.
- Work with the Turnaround Planner to address material availability issues.
- Coordinate the return and disposal of excess materials after turnarounds.
- Expedite orders and arrange for materials, tools, and equipment to be ready on-site.
- Provide feedback on supplier performance to the procurement team.
- Follow emergency order processes and procurement policies.
Performance Metrics:
- Materials delivered on time for turnarounds
- Accuracy of delivered materials (% of error-free deliveries)
- Reasons for late or incorrect deliveries
- Cost impact of delayed or failed deliveries
- Knowledge Required:
- SAP system expertise
- Global maintenance and turnaround work processes (GMWP, GTWP)
- Procurement rules, policies, and emergency procedures
- Transport and logistics processes
- Material return and exception handling processes
Skills
- Strong SAP and warehouse system proficiency
- Knowledge of approved suppliers and technical specifications
- Ability to apply procurement and logistics rules effectively
- Excellent material coordination and problem-solving skills

Requirements
- Minimum MBO-4 level of education, preferably in a technical or logistics field
- Strong written and spoken Dutch (B2) and English (B2)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Available to work 40 hours per week
- Able to write clear reports and understand transport processes
- Valid Dutch work permit (at least nine months remaining) or EU citizenship
- Willing to provide a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG)
- Preferably holds a VCA-VOL certificate
