Job description
Manpower is looking for a Financial Accounting Specialist for a company in Maastricht.
As an Accounting Specialist in the Financial Accounting team, you will support the international operations by preparing and reporting accurate monthly financial statements for European entities. Focusing on holding and financing companies, this role offers the chance to develop specialized skills within a global multinational. Your key activities include:
- Managing and reconciling multiple balance sheet accounts
- Maintaining the chart of accounts and performing account and sub-ledger reconciliation
- Conducting analytical reviews of Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss statements
- Preparing accruals, provisions, and completing month-end closing activities on schedule
- Providing financial data to local finance teams and auditors
- Preparing statutory reports under local GAAP, based on IFRS group records
- Serving as an accounting expert, addressing complex accounting issues
- Linking accounting with other finance processes to advise colleagues and partners effectively
- Coaching and training colleagues in your area of expertise

Working hours
The working hours in this full-time position are from Monday to Friday from 8.30 to 17.00.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Financial Accounting, Finance, or Business Economics
- Strong understanding of Accounting and Accounting Principles
- An interest in or knowledge of Dutch tax legislation and compliance is a plus
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel and Oracle or SAP applications
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with local business partners
- Strong focus on continuous improvement
- Familiarity with IFRS and Postal policies is a plus
- At least 3 years of experience in Record to Report (RtR) or General Ledger, with familiarity with RtR policies and Global Operating Models
- Fluent in Dutch and English due to your working activities
- Availability of 38 hours per week
