Who are we?

ManpowerGroup Netherlands B.V. and its subsidaries Manpower BV, Manpower Logistics BV, Manpower Talent BV, Manpower Business Services BV, Manpower Flexibility BV, Manpower Flexwork BV, Manpower Talentworkers BV, Jefferson Wells BV, Experis Professionals BV, Experis Services BV, Experis Consulting BV has its registered office in Diemen, Diemerhof 16. We are responsible for the processing of your data.

What can you expect from us?

Your privacy is important to us. We therefore consider it very important to handle the data of our candidates, flexible employees, clients, employees, suppliers and visitors to our website in a careful and safe manner. We do so in accordance with the privacy legislation and regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation.

We never sell your data to third parties. We do make use of the services of other parties who process data on our behalf. We conclude processing agreements with these parties so that they also handle your personal data in a careful way. The reason is that we remain responsible for protecting your data.

We also share data with other parties if we are obliged to do so on the basis of legislation or regulations or on the basis of a contractual obligation, with the Tax authorities or another government organisation for example. It may also be necessary to share your data with other parties as part of our services, such as when we introduce you to a client for example.

If we transfer personal data to organisations in countries outside the European Economic Area, such as our U.S. parent company and affiliated ManpowerGroup companies, we will ensure that there are suitable safeguards for the protection of your data. We do not retain your data longer than is strictly necessary for the purpose for which the data were obtained.

When do we process your personal data?

We process your personal data from the moment you:

  • visit one of our websites;
  • register for an event;
  • enter your data on our website, by creating an account, for example;
  • register at one of our branches;
  • make use of our services.

It may happen that we process data about you that we did not obtain directly from you. If this is the case, we will only process these data exclusively for a justified purpose determined in advance.

That depends on how we know you. If you visit our website, we process other data than if you are employed by us. The list below takes account of this. As a visitor to the website, we do not know you by name initially. We do process your personal data if you ask us a question by means of a form, for example. We also treat your IP address as personal data.

We keep a record of this for as long as necessary for follow-up, accountability and security. We use (cloud) suppliers outside the EU for this purpose.

  • We conduct studies and surveys in order to measure how clients experience and use our services. Sometimes we ask you to share your name and contact details so that we can follow up the results and possibly inform you thereof.

Invoicing

  • We process relevant data such as the names of contact persons in order to invoice and account for our services.
  • We store relevant data, such as the invoice and the personal data stated thereon, for the purpose of our financial administration and for the purpose of checking and approving invoices.

Reporting and audits

  • We continuously improve our services and business operations with the aid of analyses and reports. We avoid using personal data as much as possible, but we are sometimes obliged to use a limited number of data anyway. We bundle and anonymise data if possible so that you cannot be identified. Relevant reports are shared with our U.S. parent company and affiliated ManpowerGroup companies and are consequently also processed outside the EEA.
  • We may also process the required data concerning clients, suppliers or other business relations for the purpose of performing internal and external inspections, such as audits performed by our accountants or the Tax and Customs Administration. The parties involved have insight into your personal data in case of an external audit.

General

  • We process IP addresses and user data, among other things, in order to allow our IT systems to operate and to protect them. We retain these date for a period of six months.

I am looking for work

As soon as you leave your data on our website, register at a branch or engage our assistance in finding employment in any other way, we will process the following data:

Registration

  • You have registered and thereafter we will use these data for another four weeks or, if you have consented thereto, for one year in order to look for suitable employment for you. We share relevant data with (potential) clients.

Applications

  • We create a profile for you if you apply for a position or create an account for yourself on our website. All data relevant to your application, such as knowledge and skills, are stored in this profile. This allows us to assess your application. We store these data until the procedure has been completed. Thereafter we will use these data for one more year in order to look for suitable employment for you.
  • We will request references from the contact persons you have provided as part of the application procedure. With your consent, we will retain the data from the application procedure for up to one year after termination of the application procedure.
  • We use your personal data if you consent thereto in order to provide you with an even better user experience and to make our offer more suitable for you. We do so by means of cookies and similar technology. You can read more about this in our cookie policy.

I work via Manpower

We describe what we do with your data in the list below. If we share data with other parties, we refer to the privacy statements of the relevant parties. It may be the case that our occupational health and safety service or insurer applies a different statutory retention period.

Communication

  • We process your personal data if necessary for the purpose of maintaining our working relationship, to inform you of your development possibilities and to comply with other statutory obligations.

Employment contract and salary

  • Because you work for us, we will create a personnel file that includes a copy of your passport for example. We do so in order to be able to comply with contractual arrangements made with you. We share these data with government agencies and implementation bodies if we are required by law to do so. We apply a statutory retention period of five years after the end of your employment.
  • We are obliged contractually to insure you because you work for us. We share your personal data with our insurance company or companies. We apply in this connection a statutory retention period of seven years after the end of your employment.
  • In order to arrange for your pension, we are obliged contractually to share your personal data with our pension provider. We apply in this connection a statutory retention period of seven years after the end of your employment.
  • We share your personal data with government agencies and implementation bodies if we apply for a work permit for you so that you may work in the Netherlands. We apply a statutory retention period of seven years after the end of your employment.
  • We use your personal data in order to apply and account for subsidies/grants and wage cost benefits. We share these data with subsidy providers and any third parties who help us obtain the subsidy. We retain the data for a period of seven years. If special personal data are required for the application, we will only be allowed to do so after you have consented thereto. Special personal data are data concerning religion or personal beliefs, race, political preferences, health, sexual preferences, membership of a trade union and criminal history.
  • If you report sick, we will notify our occupational health and safety service thereof. We store the minimum data that are necessary to maintain contact with you, comply with arrangements made, or, in case of an industrial accident or a traffic accident with possibilities of recovery and information about your recovery and any necessary adjustments we receive as feedback from the occupational health and safety service or company doctor. We retain these data for up to seven years after leaving employment.
  • We process your contact and bank details in order to be able to pay your salary. We apply in this connection a statutory retention period of seven years in accordance with tax legislation.
  • If you qualify for a bonus scheme according to your contract, we process your personal data in order to be able to pay it. We apply a statutory retention period of seven years after the end of your employment.
  • In order to be able to handle business expense claims, we require your contact and bank details and evidence substantiating your claim. We apply a statutory retention period of seven years after the end of your employment.
  • In the event an attachment is levied against your salary, we will be obliged on the basis of legislation and regulations to share your personal data with bailiffs and creditors. We store these data until the attachment has been lifted.

Career development and assessment

  • We create a personnel file in order to monitor your development and performance within our organisation. This includes any tests and assessments you have carried out. We retain this personnel file for at most two years after you have left employment or for as long as this is relevant to your current performance.

Services

  • If it is necessary for the performance of the assignment to hold (official) documents, such as a certificate of good conduct (in Dutch: Verklaring omtrent Gedrag - VOG), we will support the administrative process. This means that it is necessary to process your personal data. We apply a statutory retention period of five years.
  • We maintain a time record in order to able to account for our invoices towards our clients and in order to comply with contractual obligations. We use your personal data for this purpose. We apply a statutory retention period of seven years.
  • We continuously improve our services with the aid of analyses and reports. We report on this to clients. We avoid using personal data as much as possible. Nevertheless, we are sometimes obliged to use several data anyway. We bundle and anonymise data if possible so that you cannot be identified. The retention period of these reports is five years.
  • We conduct studies and surveys in order to measure how customers experience and use our services. We use personal data to continuously improve our products and services.

General

  • We use various IT resources, such as e-mail to communicate internally and with you. We keep a record of this for as long as necessary for follow-up, accountability and security. We use (cloud) suppliers outside the European Economic Area for this purpose. Your name, contact details and position will be shared if this is the case. This may also include the picture you have uploaded.
  • We ask you to complete internal questionnaires in order to learn and implement improvements. Sometimes we request you to share your name and contact details so that we can follow up the results and possibly inform you thereof.
  • We store relevant data for the purpose of our financial administration and for the purpose of checking and approving invoices. We retain these data for seven years in accordance with legislation and regulations.
  • We process the relevant data of clients, employees and candidates for the performance of internal checks such as audits. The retention period is five years after the audit report was delivered.

Security and protection

  • We use access cards in several locations for security purposes. We retain log data for the maximum statutory retention period of six months.
  • We secure our buildings with cameras for the sake of the safety of our employees, our customers and property. These cameras have been installed in a clearly visible manner and we draw your attention to this when entering.
  • We apply security measures in order to manage and secure our systems. You will be provided with a user name in order to be able to identify yourself on our systems for example. We store data about use for at most six months in log files. We retain movements in financially-relevant systems for a period of seven years.
  • The use of personal data may be necessary for legal purposes. It is important with respect to legal files that we are able to use relevant personal data on a continuous basis and to retain them insofar as relevant.
  • We will ask for your consent in advance for certain forms of processing. If you do not consent and/or object to this form of processing, this may have consequences for the services we provide to you.
  • The handling of claims makes it necessary to use relevant personal data and retain them for as long as they are relevant for the case. We may also use personal data for other legal purposes.

You have the right:
