Employment agency Manpower is looking for a Senior Lab Technician for DSM-Firmenich in Delft.

As a (Senior) Lab Technician, you will develop processes to recover biological products from fermentation or biomass-derived feedstocks. You independently conduct lab-scale experiments and occasionally support pilot-scale trials, contributing to project success within a collaborative team.

Key tasks:

• Perform downstream processing experiments (e.g., filtration, centrifugation, extraction, crystallization) at lab and pilot scales
• Optimize processes, analyze data, and generate detailed reports
• Produce technical and food-grade samples for product development
• Manage lab equipment and troubleshoot technical issues
• Collaborate with scientists to design and execute experiments

Working hours
The working hours in this fulltime position are during regular office hours.

• Bachelor’s (HBO) in material chemistry, food tech, or (bio)chemical engineering (MBO with experience also considered)
• Up to 5 years of downstream processing experience
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Knowledge of hygienic food production and equipment maintenance
• Proactive, adaptable, and team-oriented with excellent English communication skills
