Employment agency Manpower is looking for Transport planner for a client in Helmond.

As a transport planner, you will be responsible for the following tasks: coordinating incoming goods, communicating with relevant departments, and managing yard operations with safety in mind. You will create and manage transport planning in our (upcoming) TMS system, resolve planning deviations, and maintain communication with forwarders regarding outbound shipments. Additionally, you will prepare transport documentation for customs and oversee any potential damage on outbound shipments, initiating insurance claims when necessary. You will also monitor and coordinate outbound shipments via track and trace, working closely with various teams.

Furthermore, you will also be responsible for the following tasks:

Provide Proof of Deliveries (PODs) and other relevant transport documents as required
Organize express deliveries to ensure timely dispatch.
Administer all transport-related purchase invoices, ensuring proper checks and recordings
Troubleshoot operational issues, investigating and resolving daily challenges
Coordinate and distribute all incoming local vendor deliveries efficiently
Play an integral role in the implementation of the new Manhattan transport management system

Working hours

Intermediate vocational education (MBO+ / bachelor) in Logistics or Transport
Preferably some years of experience in the same line of work
Knowledge of SAP (ERP), Microsoft Office, and TMS systems (preferably Manhattan)
KPI and results-driven, with a drive for continuous improvement
Strong problem-solving capacity
Fluent in Dutch, German, and English, both spoken and written, to effectively communicate in relation to job responsibilities
Flexible and vigorous personality with excellent communication skills
Availability of 40 hours per week
